Biography

Born in 1960 at Gaya, completed Diploma in 1980, and Post Diploma in 1982, in fine arts (print making) from Kala-Bhavan, Santiniketan. Went to Camberwell College of Arts and Crafts in London, for a research associate ship with the Charles Wallace India trust fellowship in 1998. Went to Manhattan graphic centre New York for non toxic print making research with The Fulbright Fellowship USA 2003. Exhibited his works in solo, at Art consult and Trivani Art Gallery New Delhi. participated in important annual shows like, Lalit Kala Akademi & AIFACS New Delhi, Birla academy Kolkata, Chitra kala parishath Bangalore, Sahitya kala parishad Delhi. Participated in International Triennial & Biennial Spain, Bulgaria, Checkrepublic, Slovenia, Korea, Japan, Germany, UK, USA, France, Denmark, Norway, Nepal &India. has been awarded the National cultural scholarship and Junior fellowship by Govt of India also Lalit Kala Research grant, New Delhi. Been awarded National awards by Lalit Kala, AIFACS Delhi, Birla academy Kolkata & Bendre Husain scholarship from Bombay art society Mumbai. Conducted as well as participated in several workshops and camps at Chandigarh art college, Nepal arts council, Latymer school London &Leicester UK. Work are held in the collection of NGMA & LKA New Delhi, Leicester art council UK, state museum Majdenek, Poland, New York public library, NY and Several other private collections in India and abroad. Lives and works in New Delhi.
